Nothing playing

The coast was clear, the lock was turned,
A moment of peace that I thought I’d earned.
But I reached for the handle, I gave it a shove,
And the water looked back from the surface above.
It’s a ceramic demon, a porcelain lie,
I can hear the line forming, I want to die.
It won't flush!
Oh my God it won't flush!
I’m clicking the button, I’m kicking the wall!
This isn’t a bathroom, it’s a personal fall!
It won't flush!
Oh my God it won't flush!
I’m jiggling the silver, I’m praying to saints,
The sweat on my forehead is forming in waves and in streaks.
I hear a tap on the door, a polite little knock,
I’m trapped in the silence, I’m stuck in the box.
This toilet has betrayed me, it’s ruined my name,
I’m the star of a horror, a master of shame!
It won't flush!
Oh my God it won't flush!
I’m clicking the button, I’m kicking the wall!
This isn’t a bathroom, it’s a personal fall!
It won't flush!
Oh my God it won't flush!
They’re waiting outside... they’re whispering things...
About the smell... and the shame that it brings...
One last push!
One last hope!
The porcelain has me at the end of its rope!
It won't flush!
Oh my God it won't flush!
I’m clicking the button, I’m kicking the wall!
This isn’t a bathroom, it’s a personal fall!
It won't flush!
Oh my God it won't flush!
I'm just gonna leave.
I'm so sorry.
(I'm gone!)
