Nothing playing

The interstate is choked with rust and bone,
I'm better off just keeping to the unknown.
Sun comes up a sickly shade of grey,
While I'm out here praying for the end of the day.
One hand on the wheel, one on the cold blue steel,
It's a different kind of hunger that I feel.
God bless the lead and the light that's fading,
There ain't no mercy in the world we're wading.
Just a long white line through a valley of ghosts,
From the eastern shores to the western coasts.
Survive the night, then survive the dawn,
Keep that iron horse just rolling on.
Keep that iron horse just rolling on!
Passed a gas station where the shadows still twitch,
(Shadows still twitch),
Left my last bottle in a roadside ditch.
I seen enough hollow eyes to fill the sea,
None of 'em look much different than me.
I'm digging out a grave for the man I used to be,
(Man I used to be),
Before the dead walked and the world went free.
Don't you stop, don't you look back now,
The devil's wearing a crown on his brow.
They're scratching at the floor of the world,
Watching all the pretty flags unfurl...
In the blood! In the dirt!
Just roll on... roll on...
Dust and shadows...
