Golden Dawn Banana

Lyrics

(Mmm-hmm, yeah) (Ooh, oh) You rest right there upon the ceramic plate An elegant curve, a masterpiece of shape A splash of vibrant yellow in a sea of gray Waiting so patiently to start my day No longer green with youth, you're in your prime Speckled with freckles of passing time A perfect crescent of tropical delight Everything about you just feels right Oh, banana, you're a vision in yellow! A little fruit making everything mellow From your starchy start to your sweet release! You bring my weary morning absolute peace Peel back the skin, let the world just fade away You're all the fuel that I need for today I peel you down to see your creamy white soul You make a simple morning breakfast feel whole No pits to annoy me, no seeds to discard Loving you purely isn't very hard You're packed with potassium and natural sweet The ultimate, portable, heavenly treat Just five simple strips and your coat is all gone The sweetest adventure to start off the dawn Oh, banana, you're a vision in yellow! A little fruit making everything mellow From your starchy start to your sweet release! You bring my weary morning absolute peace Peel back the skin, let the world just fade away You're all the fuel that I need for today Others may praise the apple or the pear But they can't compete with the flare that you wear You're the king of the bowl, the star of the bunch The perfect companion for breakfast or lunch With no mess and no fuss, you're the ultimate prize A golden-wrapped treasure right before my eyes And when I'm feeling down, a little bit low You're the only fruit that I need to know Oh, banana, you're a vision in yellow! A little fruit making everything mellow From your starchy start to your sweet release! You bring my weary morning absolute peace Peel back the skin, let the world just fade away You're all the fuel that I need for today Yeah, just a banana... (The perfect fruit) Making my morning feel good... (Ooh, oh, mmm) Just a little splash of yellow... In a crazy world... (Yeah) Thank you, little banana...
